Business of travel & logistics is changing rapidly these days of summer 2022. On my way back from Chicago today, a 90 minute wait on the tarmac to find a gate at Newark became an event for connecting passengers. This is happening more frequently. Pilot said there was “traffic jam” for gates.

I asked our driver what her business was facing. Fuel surcharge of 10% seems normal with a new set of drivers at higher salary than before is what smaller companies are facing.

If you travel to Europe, be aware of luggage and labor related issues in the U.K. and other countries. I suggest, throw in some Apple Airtags in your luggage, get that iOT & 5G network working harder.

Good news is that family travel demand has picked up.
